Used golf cart purchase legalities
 

Not Familiar with Florida so I need some info.

If I buy a used cart from a private party in the Villages, What should I get from the seller when buying ? Title ? Registration ? Bill of sale with Vin number?

If it is a street legal cart (LSV) get all three.
If it’s just a golf cart, bill of sale with serial number of cart. Standard golf carts don’t have VIN numbers.

i would get a paper from seller , with cart make and model, serial number , seller name and date of sale.

If you have any concerns about the sale, I would get the serial number and call the local police to see if it is stolen, and I agree with the above.

Get a receipt signed by the seller.
