Safari Auto Converting HTML to Text
On my iPhone, Safari will often convert a webpage from HTML to text. That result drastically alters what is displayed and also negates the ability to use (or even have access to) intended links. Sometimes I get prompted on a given page to turn off enhanced security, but mostly not.
How do I disable this feature? Thanks.... |
I am guessing this is due to the designer of the webpage doing something that triggers Safari to think the webpage is dangerous and therefore blocking the links (etc.) by converting to text. I get a similar situation with Edge and email, with the email going to the junk folder. In general, the web browsers will have one or more options for security settings, so I would take a look at these settings, go back to the offending page to see if changing one or more of these helps. Now a word of caution changing these settings can open you up to getting viruses etc., so do so carefully.

Do you have reader mode enabled?
There’s an option to view pages as text only, called reader mode. I bet that is turned on. |
