Do you remember?

I was just getting nostalgic-- going down memory lane (always a dead end) and had a few memories I'd like to share. Feel free to add some of your own.

Do you remember?
Sugar bags with a sown top you had to rip and unlace to open.
Dimmer switches on the left floorboards in cars.
The triangular vent windows in cars.
Window wax used at Christmas to stencil on windows,
Sanding and waxing the runners on your sled
Warming up the tv
Green and plaid stamps

Car engines that a common person could work on.
Roller skates.......that had skate keys.
Skate boards - if you wanted one, you made it yourself.
Sunoco 260
The "gas wars" - 19.9 cents/gal.
Then later.....waiting in line to buy gas "forever" during the energy crisis.
Fuzzy dice.
Everyone got dressed up to go to an indoor theater.
Drive-in movies.
Most all men wore hats (my dad always did!).
Women's stockings had the seam up the back of the legs.
The local dairy delivered to your door.

Anybody remember "Big Little Books"? They were little fat books with the story on one page and an illustration on the facing page. I think comic books put them out of business.

Thanks

Thank you all for those wonderful memories (sigh) those were the days and so are these.
Now we're making new memories-- but then again remembering 4 days ago is harder than 30 years ago sigh again.

Lots of fun to reminisce. But I wonder what we will be remembering fondly in 15 - 20 years that will be obsolete? Here are a few that I would add:

CD's
Newspapers and printed books
"2-D" movies and TV!
Watches (almost there now!)
$3.00 Gas (Ouch!)
Radios actually built into cars
