There might be some wiggle room - maybe they'll throw in a $50 grocery bag that attaches to the back. Or they might give you a free cooler.

But you can get the same brand and model golf carts at stores outside The Villages for much less.

True, but make sure to compare apples with apples. It isn't just a 2025 Yamaha, it is a 2025 Yamaha with a list of installed accessories including a warranty and a golf-cart-accessible service provider. You might not need all that, you might not want all that, you might not want to pay for all that, but recognize that all of that is included with the higher price.

I believe that The Villages Golf Cart Store negotiates. I also think anyone looking for a first cart should consider a used one. When we moved here in 2006 we bought a six year old four seater gas from someone. Helene and I still ride around in it and it is goin' strong. Henry bought several other Carts in the interim and he is quite the fellow who knows automotive and wheelin' and dealin'. His cart right now was purchased from The Villages.

As already stated, you will pay a premium and have little to no negotiation ability with the Village’s Golf Carts relative to using a dealer outside the bubble. The only real advantage of using them is convenience and getting a free loaner during service. That being said, I trust Tood Casey mobile golf cart service way more than the Village Golf Cart mechanics and he comes to our home to service the carts.

The Villages Golf Carts are convenient and offer loaner carts during service and repairs. That said, I have never seen a comment about "Getting a good deal" on a new cart purchase.

I believe that Yamaha golf carts from The Villages Golf Cars have a different transmission than other Yamaha golf carts (comes from Yamaha that way). They are made for residential driving.

The Villages Golf Car sells the PTV version of Yamaha's, which has high speed gears. Almost every other dealer and/or private seller will also be selling the PTV version, so there is no "different transmission". However, you may come across someone trying to unload a Fleet version with high speed gears installed after market to represent the higher valued PTV.

And if your next question is electric vs. gas by all means do a search on this site as you will be overloaded with golf cart posts on that as well as your where to buy questions, Welcome to TV and TOTV.

I would look at few years old used, you can save half or more over retail price usually? Yamaha’s gas or electric are pretty reliable unless owner completely neglected it.

DO NOT BUY FROM THE VILLAGES sales of golf carts - save a few thousand dollars and go outside the Villages - you can then hire a company to come to your home to do the easy yearly service and save even more - TV will try to up sell you on the cart and service - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

You'll be surprised by the number of hours logged in these carts. Get one with a good seat.

Does The Village Golf Cars sell the electric Yamaha carts? They have dual axle models. Sounds noce.
