Kitchen counter replacement to quartz - Contractors & ballpark pricing

Greetings,
Probably been asked before... Does anyone have a recommendation for kitchen counter top replacement to quartz with new sink/plumbing? Also, ballpark pricing for such a replacement would be great.
Thank you in advance.

$75 - $150 per sq. ft.

Roberto’s is doing ours, but we went with granite, as it was $35/sq-ft vs $65+/sq-ft for material only.

OP, make sure they include an electrician and that the cutouts for the outlets are the correct size and location I have seen two installations where the holes were too large making in installation of the old work type boxes very difficult and in the other case the hole was moved a few inches, and the existing wiring was too short, then to make matters worse the installer left and the homeowner had to get an electrician to fix the problem.

I have quartz and unlike granite, you can not put anything hot on it. Granite is considerably cheaper and it now comes in lighter colors. Check out the yard on Rolling Acres near the village workshop before making a decision.

I would prefer quartz. I don't know which is more durable, but I would not use granite as a place to put a hot pan onto. Use a trivet.

We replaced our formica with quartz last year. Much more user friendly but we do use trivets to put hot plates or pots onto.

Went to ultimate granite and did kitchen as well as both bathrooms.

We went with quartzite. The price was close to the price of granite and we liked the pattern better than quartz. We used Ultimate Granite on Rolling Acres Road.

I don’t have a recommendation but had ours done and I can tell WHO NOT TO USE - the company is (or maybe was) named VIP HOME IMPROVEMENT - the owner is Rudy D. — DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY as they are terrible - not licensed and are SCAMMERS. Be very careful in your selection - good luck.

Check to see if Garbage disposal will meet the old discharge drain in height . Most new counter tops being lower fail to hook up properly

retiredguy123 09-27-2024 07:37 AM

I would suggest that you require the contractor to state that the plumber and the electrician are licensed by the state to perform that work. Some countertop contractors cut corners by using unlicensed plumbers and electricians. Ask for their license number and verify it on the Florida license lookup website.

We had one of our best contractor experience in The Villages with Solid Image. Matched our countertop exactly and install was seamless. Call +1 (352) 315-1350 and ask for Rhonda.
