Course closures

Why are courses still closed? This is not how The Villages operated even a few years ago.

I’m guessing you weren’t here when Irma impacted The Villages in 2017. When the courses are underwater, they can’t be used.

Have you seen the courses? Many greens have combo sand/water hazards around them
And the golf carts will destroy the wet turf.

I really do hope that the original post is a joke. Less than 48 hours ago, a major hurricane roared through the area!

I'll bet it could be because a hurricane might have just gone through Florida, just going out on a limb on this one..... Original poster is joking, right?

Tough choice… Flooded golf courses or flooded homes.

I see from your previous posts that you are a fan of pitch and putt. Maybe they are still open?

Take a look at a few courses and thank the folks who designed this system

ROCKETMAN 10-12-2024 11:07 AM

Like a few people posted hope the first post was a joke. It will take a few days to dry out, maybe even a week for some. Compared to others who suffered, don’t complain.

You can't be serious.....tell me you're joking.

I guess you use floater balls, most courses are still flooded.
