Morse Intersect with 44
Heading south on Morse and turning right onto 44, lane is marked proceed straight and right turn. Many who are going straight heading south prevent those who want to turn right. Many times one vehicle holds up 10 or so behind them. Who do we contact about making that right lane for turns only?

Heading south on Morse and turning left on 44 there is a dedicated left turn lane but that lane is often blocked by a line of traffic in the left lane waiting to go straight. There might be only two cars in the turn lane but several others stuck behind those going straight. Since both Morse and 44 can support two left turn lanes, who do we contact about making the left lane on Morse a left turn only lane.

The goal is to not overbuild for average expected traffic. . though the civil engineers always fail with the average number of parking spots. . always underbuild to the average expected, never the maximum expected. . . so when the maximum is observed, its most frustrating. . |
All won’t matter
It will all go topsy turvy anyway with the construction of the Walmart there on the corner.

That is a large intersection with traffic on 44 charging through at 55mph and higher. Making a right on 44 on a red is (imho) just begging to be t-boned or rear-ended in disastrous fashion. Maybe safer and smarter would be a "No right on red" sign. A bit of patience might save a life. The light will change in a minute (or two). Relax!

OR, we could resist catering to the most fearful or least capable and instead require drivers to act appropriately. Don’t run red lights, don’t dart out into traffic, don’t let impatience impair your judgement, and basically, don’t do stupid stuff. And if 44 is simply too dangerous then use 44A or 466A. |
