Nancy Lopez - Ashley to Erin -- First Tee Time of ReOpening -- Oct 23/2024

Played Nancy Lopez today Ashley to Erin ........ Course was very playable although a few staked off wet spots remain ... Greens were in good shape however slower than normal.

Bunkers were ok .... though most were compacted sand....... no real issues.

Rough had been cut and was well kept......

So good to getting back to golf ........

You would think all the courses would be in excellent shape after being closed for so long with no golfers to get in the way of the greenskeepers. Speaking of bunkers, when is the last time the bunkers on any Villages course were groomed? You'd think it would be SOP to do that at least once a week. I can't remember the last time I played out of a bunker that wasn't either hard-packed sand or had enough footprints in it to look like a marching band had gone through it.
