Scan and file with Neat Desk?
Does anyone scan with Neat Desk? Just saw it advertised on tv and read several reviews. (Mixed results)
I save all kinds of paper-recipes, decorating pages, fabric, just any page I like, I rip out of the magazine. It looks like Neat Desk might help organize all my paper. It is $400, but if it does what it says it will do, it might be worth it. I have a Mac and it is available for Mac. |
?????
Don't know anything about Neatdesk but $400 seems a lot for a little function.
I might suggest just scanning in the documents yourself and organize them into file folders you set up in a structure of your liking? Am I missing something? Good luck. |
WOW $400 seems to me a bit much.

We had Neat Receipts which is from the same company. Didn't like it and ended up buying a Fujitsu Scan Snap S1500. (Similar to the Neatdesk.) We are very happy with the Fujitsu but it is a little pricey for personal use.

Thank you!
Thanks to all for the replies! I do not have a computer brain, and thought it sounded like an easy way to organize the paper in my life. :)
I did read in the reviews that the Scan Snap was very good, but am not sure I want to spend THAT much. |
Check out this site http://www.archound.com/ for a program called DA Document manager. I do not own or use this program but listen to a pod cast where one of the guests was a user and described the product in great. No this guy scans everything and has keeps backups. he says that it allows him to keep everything in order and easy to locate when needed. He scans the receipts, warranty cards and anything needed for everything he purchases. He also scans every bill and anything else of importance that he may get in the mail.
Now you already need to have a scanner nut if you look at the site it may give you a direction as to what type to look for. |

The Fujitsu S1300 is currently $260 on Amazon (http://goo.gl/H39Ha) but they recently announced a smaller less expensive model (1100, I think). A quick view of scanning to Evernote (http://goo.gl/P4Co) and a longer overview of going completely paperless (http://goo.gl/gaBaw). |
