can you believe its been 61 years today that JFK was killed.

Amazing how long ago. Wonder if we would have gotten into Vietnam war if he was not killed?

It was already raging. From Wiki: The Vietnam War was a conflict in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1 November 1955 to the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975.

Like the UFO truth, we still don't know what the government is keeping secret regarding the assassination. Files are ordered released about both of these puzzles from time to time but they're always heavily redacted.

I was stationed at Fort Dix, NJ. I was an ISROQ - Intermediate speed radio operator - between teaching classes -playing around on an ANGR 18 - a big Radio - size of small refrigerator. Probably the size of wrist watch now. Trying stations around the country - picked up a broadcast from Texas of Kennedy being shot. Rushed into the classroom being taught - announced the news - everybody came into my room and we listened as developments happened. I was probably one of the first to get the news on the base. A sad day.

I was due to be released from Dix on the following Tuesday - there was a talk of freezing everyone in depending on what international ramifications were. But that didn't happen and I went home Tuesday.
