Thankful for our Wonderful Community!

It’s gonna be 82 degrees today! Weather is beautiful (you can’t beat wearing shorts at Thanksgiving time!) Heading out soon to a few Thanksgiving dinner invites with the great friends I’ve met these past two years. I feel extremely blessed to be here in The Villages at this stage in my life. Retirement is truly the best!

"Ashley Young, a historian from the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, argued in a recent interview that one of the core reasons why turkey became so embedded within the cultural consciousness was because of migration from New England, where the bird was plentiful and popular."

As i sit down to today's feast here in The Villages I am most thankful for the migratory birds returning to our community and keeping our bellies full.

We had some friends from The Villages come up to MD for thanksgiving. Even more came up last year.

We'll be down Christmas week and we'll be increasing our time spent there as my retirements FINALLY comes to fruition...

The wife will be there from X-Mas thru mid-March, I'll have to fly back after New Years for 3-4 weeks, returning to TV February 1 with my daughter, son-in-law and our new grandson!

They'll stay all of February.

The wife and I will stay all of February into mid-March, and then return to MD to finish up the transfer of my practice.

I've given them to the end of April and then I AM DONE!

Hopefully, we'll be able to spend 6+ months and get our Homestead Exemption. We'll begin worling on downsizine the house in MD and put it up for sale...

Sounds like you are currently "tadpoles" working toward becoming full-time "frogs". Hurry up! The more, the merrier.

PS, stay off my lawn! 🙂🙃🫠😉
