Deny delay defend

Wow, just came across this video from a year ago that helps explain how insurance companies handled claims. In many cases it's not even the insurance companies or even people with a medical background making your healthcare decisions.

Watch this video, really think it's an eye opener, particularly at the 7 minute mark.

Delay and Deny is what was written on the shell casings from the bullets used in the assassination of the United Health Care executive a couple of days ago.

"Delay" and "Deny" written on bullets found at the scene of UnitedHealthcare CEO's murder. Here's what they may mean. - CBS New York

I think in post #3 regarding Universal Health Care the post was referring to a system similar to Canada or some Europe’s countries. Just my guess.

I have very good insurance and it doesn’t cover anesthesia for a tooth extraction. They give you Novocain which is all you need. No need to go under anesthesia for that.

However if one needs anesthesia for extractions, it’s covered under your health insurance, for dental surgery. Procedures done routinely in OPS centers.

I couldn't vouch for that. Our son had to have an extraction, oral cutdown, tissue rollup, stitched in place and wiring of the tooth laying sideways in his upper gum to pull it into place in time. Much have been a bit much Novocain for a young kid.

But are the people willing to pay a lot more for it? Nothing is free and the Villages drink is lemon water for a reason.

Speak for yourself. Some of us have a very low tolerance for pain. I have taken Ativan before dental work. I cannot handle the pain.

Costs are not a problem as long as "the other guy" pays for it.
