Villages GPS error
 
Has anyone received the following error when trying to run/access the Villages GPS app?

"The operation couldn't be completed.
ObjectMapper failed to serialize response."

My app was working fine yesterday...but today, I've received the error each time I have tried to run the app. I've tried reinstalling it and still get the same error.

Unfortunately… we're currently experiencing an outage and are trying to figure out what is going on.

We don’t want you to get lost, so we are advising users to get “The Developers” App. "The Villages App” until we can get this fixed.

We will reply to everyone on this thread once we are back up and running.

Shout out to the support team. They owned up to having an outage and promised to alert everyone once they resolved the problem. PLUS, they provided a work-around. IMO, that’s how customer support SHOULD be handled. BTW, does the team have info about drones over New Jersey?

Thanks for the replies...hopefully the solution will be forthcoming soon...but in the meantime it does look like the "Villages App" will serve my purposes for now.

We are back up and running. So sorry for the inconvenience.

So that you know, we are just a couple of Villagers and we are trying our best to make the app as good as possible. Everything is very custom inside the app. This technology can be a challenge for sure.

We have a few changes coming next year that will make the app so much better.

Thank-you for getting back to me and for resolving the issue in a timely manner.
Also, thanks for recommending an alternative while the app was down. I really rely on the app when I come down to visit my parents. It's been a godsend!!!

I used it at noon. Wanted to go to lake okahumka to see how the new restaurant is coming. All the walls are up. Funny thing I was coming from sea breeze and it told me to take the tunnel towards Pinellis plaza. That’s incorrect.
