The former ones with the green trucks, Waste Management, used to stomp the accelerator in between houses and then slam on the brakes, needlessly super noisy. These guys in the white trucks go the proper speed between houses, which in addition to being more efficient for them, is nice and quiet.

This is especially sweet as they sometimes get here at 6:30 AM.

Waste Management was doing themselves no favors I think. Making the engine roar every few feet must be hard on the equipment.

Hmm, driver dependent, observing just the opposite here.

If they wouldn't have finished their route on time they would most likely have been fired. Those huge trucks with automatic transmissions are always in low gear and they are going to roar between houses. I didn't mind the noise, it was only a few minutes twice a week. I also agree about the drivers, some are good, some are bad, just like the various lawn crews of Massey and Deans.

Jacobs trash removal does a great job. We thank them at Christmas and some other holiday with a card and tip. I hope others do the same. They are so reliable.
