Hitting strip for pitch and putt
 

My wife is a pitch and putt fan and I kinda like them too. Uncrowded, nice greens, and good practice for where I really need it! But those tee boxes...wow they are really firm with a super short nap. Does anybody carry a little hitting strip along to make it more realistic? Or at least a little less painful? Or is this just a crazy idea. If so...is there a preferred model? Thanks :)

Looks like a good solution. Very hard to get any spin on the ball hitting off those cheap mats on top of concrete pads.

To keep it from flying very far take a short piece of fishing string and small weight tied to it.

You mean pitch and putt "courses" don't have grass tees????

If you look hard, there is a tee hole for right and left hitters. Some are missing or covered and hard to find. Little white rubber tapered receptacle for a tee. About 6 inches from the edge of the mat.

I bought some conical plastic/rubber tees from Amazon just for this purpose. The come in two different heights.

We just take 3 crap clubs bought from the odds and ends bin. Doesn’t matter what you hit off of it’s less than 100 distance
