They sound like lifesavers for so many.

I agree.

We had a similar group up north for cancer patients. Attending the decision making appointment. 3 fresh meals a day delivered, every morning, staying with the person for as long as it takes. Rides to treatment, holding hand or in many cases hair while losing the breakfast you just brought. Each person usually had a support group of 2-5 dedicated people. Many time their spouse has abandoned them.

My support role “I don’t want to do this anymore, Mets no chance of survival, I just want to enjoy what’s left of my life”. Most of the group says it’s the hardest. But support for that decision is hard for the person and they really need that special someone until the end.

CARING NEIGHBORS
If you are a man, woman or couple living in the Village of Lynnhaven, you are invited to a brief presentation on the Caring Neighbors Program.

Caring Neighbors' groups are organized networks of volunteers who proactively respond to the needs of neighbors in their Village. Come and hear about how we can help one another in Lynnhaven to have the best quality of life. You may impact the life of another in positive and powerful ways.

We would love the opportunity to tell you about Caring Neighbors on January 9 at 3:30, at Churchill Recreation Center. There will be a short presentation followed by questions and suggestions. There will be no pressure and no selling of anything at this meeting, just information.

Please consider attending to give us your thoughts and suggestions. We sincerely hope to see many neighbors at 3:30 January 9 at Churchill Recreation Center.

Hope they did well here in Lynnhaven.

Every neighborhood that we have lived in had a similar group that helped in TV. I belonged to all 5 groups, with each move. Now there is a organization with some guidelines, one will definitely see an increase in this project especially in older neighborhoods

They are set up now in Lynnhaven.
