mitch leininger director of executive golf to move on. i hope the next one can do a good job. i will say that the greens look pretty good right now. i will also say the best in years.i hope we get a real good greens keeper and not a cheap landscaper.

Isn't it funny how things work? Golf boss hires USGA to consult on getting the courses healthy. I suppose he did, but the weather helped a lot. Then golf boss is hired by USGA. Good for him. Probably better pay and benefits and fewer people cussing him.
A critical skill for his successor must be getting proper training for the maintenance crews who work for contractors. I don't know what they are taught now or by whom, but there is more to the job than cutting grass and pushing a fertilizer spreader.
