Anybody Have British Pounds You Want to Unload?
 

Looking for ~$100 worth of pounds

We had "old" British sterling from trips before the EU. We went back last August 2022 and we had to take the "pre-Euro" pounds to a bank to convert. Was not worth the hassle so we just kept them for expensive souvenirs.

Just beware if you are purchasing older money you may have a bank trip when you arrive.

I am sure you know you can get pounds at a bank at which you are a customer, or at the airport, or from an online service that overnight’s you the currency. I’ve done all three with success.

From your message I get the idea you prefer to get them from a villager. But
If that fails you could always use one of the standard methods.

Good time to buy Sterling. £ low against $.
Stock up for any future trips.
Just enough for tips etc., Card or phone is preferred method of payment.
You will get change in UK as apposed to many places not giving it in US.
