Where to find least expensive, no frills cremation in this area?
A family member has recently taken a turn for the worse, and while I don't know if they'll live for six more days or six more months, either way I need to "get my ducks in a row" as the saying goes. We're not into big fancy funerals, and he's outlived nearly all of his friends & family members of a similar age, so a very basic cremation is what we want.
So far the least expensive option for a "no frills" cremation seems to be $1,100 at Baldwin Brothers, but if anyone knows of any funeral homes or crematoriums in the area that charge less than $1,000, pls let me know. Thanks! |

$1100 IS reasonable. When you take into consideration all that goes into a cremation ( plenty of red tape and regs to follow to a T) I'm surprised it's that low!

According to this $795 is the average going rate.
