The Greens were top dressed and I believe they must have rolled them.

Greens were running about 10.5 and the pin placements were challenging, to say the least.

I saw a 3' lip out and roll more than 40' away.

I'm not complaining, it's great to play fast greens, but these were tough.

Now that I'm thinking about, Laurel Valley's pin placements were nasty. 6th hole was cut far-right side middle of the Green. Guy had about a 5' putt from the left ... just missed. Rolled off the Green, into the water.

How was pace of play? Recently we played Riley to Cherry with fast greens and some tough pin positions; just under 5 hours :(

It started slow and seemed slow until the back 9 ... but when it was over, it was 4 hours & 5 minutes.

Sunday was close to 5 hours, Laurel to Riley. Riley is typically very slow on Sunday afternoons. A lot of "social golf", with folks listening to the music from Lake Sumter Landing, rather than paying attention to their golf.

Played Riley to Cherry Hill Sunday (9:30). 4 hours. And I was in a foursome where everyone was hitting from different tees.

Afternoon groups always seem slower. Casual golfers don't seem to wake up early and head to the course, until afternoon.
