Looking for Advice regarding Selling Glock 19 Pistol
 

Back in 2016 I bought a new Glock 19 Gen 4 Pistol with intent to become proficient in use. Learned how to use it but quickly found that I could not use it because of ear problems and Vertigo issues when firing the Pistol. Retired the unit after shooting one box of ammo.
Although 8 years old, the Glock is essentially new.

Looking for recommendations as to best way to legally sell. Currently just using up space in closet. Take it back to selling store? or online stores? can find online prices for units of this age, but does low usage mean anything regarding price?

There are various online sites where you can list the gun. You will have to use an FFL if you ship the gun to a buyer. You can also sell the gun yourself if you and the buyer are Florida residents.

Shooters World also buys used guns. They are located at Brownwood on CR 44A. You won't get top dollar but a fair price and only takes a few minutes. Make sure you transporter it in its original case or bag unloaded.

Join Straight Shooters club. Members buy & sell firearms at club swaps and I think their website also has a buy/sell page. Shooters World will give you a low ball offer.

Selling a firearm to a private party is legal in Florida. However, personally, I would only sell it to a Florida resident with a current CCW license, even though they are no longer required. Also, I would prepare a bill of sale, including the firearm serial number and a copy of the CCW license. The sale should be conducted in a public place, not at home. Good luck.

You can try and ask $500 for it but $450 is going to be in the ballpark and $400 would be a great deal.

I have six shooter 38 special I’ve never shot. Had it for 50 years. IMO better to have one and not need it than need one and not have it? IMO double action revolvers are safer and more reliable. Only drawback is 6 shots vs up to 30. But, I can usually hit what I aim at or come close enough. Owning Fire arms Carry great responsibilities and will probably get even more intense in future. I can see why some don’t want that responsibility anymore.

I sold most of my firearms that I brought down from up north to Nordic Pawn in front of the Plaza on 301. He was more than fair with his offer and I accepted it immediately. They have been around for decades.

Make and Model would add a great deal of interest to your post. I have a few of the auto-magics in addition to long guns of all kinds, but my absolute favorites are old 38 / 357 revolvers. The blued steel, the smooth curves, and all metal construction (not including grips of course) remind me so much of those beautifully designed tail-finned cars of the 1950's. I think what you have are the best kind of guns for collecting and admiring. For gun fights? Depends - many pros and cons and variables, but for sheer appreciation of workmanship and quality its .38 six shooters like you have.

Check out gunbroker.com You’ll get a good idea of current value. Google your gun info & check out any other sales. You need to preserve your paperwork regarding a sale if to an individual. The Village Gun Club has an excellent form online for members. I think their name is Village Sharp Shooters Club. They usually list private parties selling stuff. If selling to a shop, the buyer must be an FFL - federally licensed to deal with guns. Don’t sell to an individual without getting the required paperwork signed by buyer & yourself.

Shooters World lowballed me, got a better price at The Gun Range on 44 in Leesburg, I didnt want the hassle of not selling to a dealer, in case someone later commits a crime with the firearm.

Online "We buy guns" is very fair and they make the process easy and fast. I just sold 2 pistols to them. They gave me 25% more than Shooters World. I did not have to pay shipping or FFL fees as they are no charge. Money deposited in my checking acct. Doing it this way is safe as it protects you as the ownership transfer goes into their name.
