Do small private planes fly from Leesburg to Fort Myers?

Looking for an easier way to travel to Fy Myers on occasion. It's about a 3.5 hour drive each way and would love to find a better way. Have to go there about once a month. Wondered if there were any private charter companies that would fly from Leesburg to Ft Myers and would those be a bank buster. Anyone had any experience even with a different destination?

Depends on what you consider a "bank buster".

I'm sure Flight Search (Linnear Air) would accommodate you. Depending on what kind of airplane & service you require, probably around $2500- $3000 each way, depending on availability.

If there are any small charter operators at Leesburg and you don't really care what you're flying in, you can probably find it bit cheaper.

If you're asking what I suspect you're really looking for, which is someone who has an airplane and can fly you there and back, reasonably ... not likely to happen. First off, you're probably looking for someone who flies a Cirrus SR22 or something like that. You're looking at $400/hour + the pilot ... so probably $800-$1000 cost each way.

The problem is, even a Commercial Pilot is prohibited by FAA Part 135 from doing that, without an Operating Certificate for such flights. Now you're probably looking at over $1500 each way, at a minimum.

I offend wondered this myself but in a different direction.
Think of all those corporate jets that fly into Florida then (in some cases) fly back up north empty?
I bet many would except some paying customers on the flight back.

Might call the airport as you never know.
