Warm Springs Rd Incident
 

There was a large police presence with a pulled over vehicle(s) on Warm Springs at intersection of Meggison around 7am this morning . At least 6 police vehicles and 2 unmarked vehicles in addition to 1 or more vehicles surrounded on grass off the road. There were no ambulances or fire trucks at the scene. Any news on what that may have been?

Probably the homeless guy with rifle in its case who was walking around. Got an announcement on Facebook from the Sumter County Sheriff's Office about it.

No. That was on Tuesday. The person with the rifle was arrested on CSX property and charged with Armed Trespassing.

That guy with the rifle must really be in bad shape since it’s legal to carry a concealed weapon without a permit in Florida. I’m guessing no ID?

SPEED TRAP, they had two troopers with radar guns just past the speed sign that tells you that you are speeding. 1. The sign says you are going too fast. 2. Trooper with radar reads your speed. 3. Trooper two radios to troopers by Meggison. 4. Trooper three through six pull you over, hand you your speeding ticket and wish you to have a nice day.

Since that’s Wildwood it’s probably Wildwood PD. They are not troopers, they are officers.

According to news report. Unlicensed Mexican pulled over. Her husband in passenger seat had been deported but snuck back. He was arrested. Village news story

A rifle is not a concealed weapon (unless you were to carry it under your long wool coat - Mafia style). I doubt there is a law prohibiting carrying a rifle unless it is a local one (like in the city of Wildwood). I doubt that also.
