Class B storage

My wife and I are buying a class B RV. One is an Embassy and you can not tell it is an RV. Even the AC is built on the inside. So if we buy that one, we can park it in our driveway. But we are leaning toward a Coachman Beyond so we need to store it. I understand the Villages does has RV storage, but you have to get on a list to get a spot, that list may be years long.

Does anyone know how to get your name added to that list?

I have the district saved on my favorites. I then searched RV:
RV Storage - The Villages Community Development Districts

RV's allowed for 72 hours only for loading and unloading, cannot be hooked up to services. It would be dis-respectful to your neighbors to keep it in your driveway any longer than that, I would always complete my loading and cleaning within 24 hours and then put it back in storage.
There are a ton of places to store them, open air outside, under cover outside, and indoor, most have washing and dump facilities as well as compressed air available. They seemed to have popped up all over the area just run a search. We kept our on Clarence Thomas street, it's located behind the RV dealership on 44, there is also Compass self storage on 301 close to Fenney and lots more. Also, doesn't matter how they try, you can't hide the fact that the class B's are motorhomes, I had 7 of them over the years and attended many Class B rallies and you can't hide the fact that there is plumbing attached to them.

So you know it's an RV and not allowed to park in the driveway per the deed restrictions you agreed to, and most everyone else will know, too.

I have a beyond and got on the list two years ago and still have not received a call from Villages storage. We use on solid ground storage in Coleman. Also this weekend is the coachmen rally at the ocala rv show. You could check out 50 to 75 beyond’s and nova’s if you want to talk to some owners. Message me for more info if you like

I've seen a few campervan rvs parked in driveways down south for almost 6 years now. Doesn’t seem to be a problem for some.

I asked my HOA (I live on the edge of the Villages) about a class B in the driveway and how they would tell. They replied that if it has an air conditioner on top, it is an RV and subject to the restrictions. We kept ours at Harvey's RV storage on 441 south of Belleview until our name came up for a spot in our neighborhood lot.

Go to the District offices and fill out the RV Storage application. They just moved to Brownwood (the old Street of Dreams) building.

I was on the list for two or three months before they called. I ended up renting at Covered Storage.

You might want to check if they have updated their security. When I stored a motorhome there, they had a rash of people cutting through the back fence and stealing catalytic converters. Turns out their only cameras just pointed at the gate and nowhere else. I would store a travel trailer there, but I moved my motorhome when they told me they had no plans to increase security.

I guess that proves that the list is useless.

Many RV storage facilities near The Villages

Hi, We are very happy with Compass boat and RV storage on rt 44 Wildwood.
It’s a covered facility with electric, water for washing, dump station. More expensive than TV, But for us, it’s worth it.

I think that being retired is the PERFECT time to travel and explore in an RV. The Villages should encourage that as part of the Villages lifestyle. Either by allowing them to be in driveways or by having available RV parking in each Village. I would think that would help home sales. It should be a part of the "Villages Experience".

This does not apply to the question I asked, but thanks anyway. However, if we purchased the Embassy, most people would not be able to tell it was an RV. It does not have AC on top; it is hidden under the frame.
