Anyone planning to see the new “Snow White” movie??

At Epic theater in LSL.

A HUGE no way from us. Disney. Ratings are horrible.
Appears to be a big money loser for Disney. When will they learn?

Taltarzac725 03-24-2025 11:23 AM

Probably not. Maybe when it comes out on VuDu.

It is a total miscarriage of the story so no way.

CNN) — Disney’s “Snow White,” a big-budget live-action retelling of the classic fairytale, opened to a sleepy $43 million at the domestic box office this weekend amid a slew of controversies.
Early industry estimates predicted “Snow White,” which cost around $270 million to make, would take in $48-$58 million in its first weekend.

When will Disney learn? Apparently not anytime soon.
Seems to be always pushing their narratives.
If we had family come into FL, we’d go to Universal rather than Disney. Just my opinion.

No, not for us.

NO!

No plans to see the movie. From the reviews I've read, it's "Snow White" in name only... Almost nothing to do with the original story...

I remember looking at the pics and reading the story in the big rectangular Disney books when I was a little kid. They sat next to the Readers Digest books and Tom Swift novels on our book shelf. The witch picture with the mirror is still vivid to me this very day. I prefer to remember the story the way it was written in that format.

TV wasn’t a big part of my life growing up, as was movie theaters. I may have in all my years gone to the theater less than 10 times. Just not a fan of sitting in a crowded room with strangers, for a few hours. So going to skip this one and probably the next 20 or so

Children said the movie was good

We took the grandkids to the movie. An 11 and 9 year old. They loved the movie. They had never seen the original that was made back in the 30s. The film is for children. I thought the movie was good. I read the controversy and it's silly old people talking about stuff that is dumb. Take a child to the movie and let them decide.

You are in luck! You can most likely watch this movie alone in most any theater.

What kind of parent hasn’t shown their children the original Classic movie?
What’s silly is NOT talking about it. As we now see, history is trying to repeat itself once again, and not in a good way. People forget what has transpired thru history. We are living thru a fine example of this right now.
Perhaps show your grandkids the original Classic movie then report back their expert opinions. That would be awesome!

The last time that sort of happened was for Barbie. That seemed more like a social event with the ladies dressing in pink and having fun.
