Selling Kugurand

Has anyone sold Krugerrands? If so, how and where? I would really appreciate any information. Thank you.

I can remember when Krugerrands first can out in 1974? 99 bucks each. Course I was airman first class then couldn’t spare nickel.

eBay, local coin shops plus there's a buying vendor that sets up shop in hotels all are options. Date and condition can affect value but when you are selling, about 10% +/- below spot price is what you will receive.

You're selling gold to the wrong people, if you're taking under Spot Price.

How many are you selling and what is the size of each?

Thanks everyone. All are sold to Bob’s Coins. I knew how much I wanted to net, and I did.

Good condition minted gold coins should be worth well more than spot price, but they are still illiquid relative to most investments as measured by the bid/ask spread. Figure a bid/ask spread of between 4 - 5%.

If you sell someone, something ... they need to make a profit when they resell it. I had a guy that was working on 2%-3% on gold coins, but he was the exception. 5% is the more likely number.

The premium over Spot, is based on the specific coin. I don't think Krugerrands have the same premium as American Gold Eagles for example. Maybe they do in South Africa?
