Good luck. Ask the 3 former Sumter County Board Supervisors how tangling with the developer went.

I think the law will win. Federal law supersedes any State or Local laws.

The developer usually wins and did hire a law firm to dig up dirt on the three of them and than arranged legal trouble for 2 of them.

Hopefully Don is too smart to be caught in their web.

I thought this was the developers law firm they usually use. Weren’t they involved in the hearing impaired lawsuit

Even if the droners win, they will probably have to spend thousands of dollars in legal fees. The term is Pyrrhic victory!

What if they aren't interested in promoting anything, but just want to play with their toys and play candid camera and post pictures of you skinny dipping in your backyard on "X" ?

They did worse than that. They pulled some strings and the next thing you know the state attorney general’s office was all over them.

That might be a violation of the law. But is there any evidence that any of them have posted pictures of anyone skinny dipping in their backyard?

I haven't seen any.

When you make multi million dollar donations you usually get what you want from politicians. This is a great place to live but the developer does tend to go overboard to get what he wants.

Usually was not the right term. Millions do get you what you want.

It’s called the golden rule. Those that have the gold rule.

I'm a fan of Don, but it wouldn't take them much to find some violations between breeding dogs in his Villages home and running a profitable drone business out of his house. The developer already knows about these obviously. It wouldn't take much for the developer to find some tiny thing relating to his county commissioner work after seeing the frame up job they did on some of the previous ones.

I hope the drone guys win, but beating this developer is like trying to beat the house at a casino.

This only applies if there's a Federal law that exists that supersedes the State law. If they came up with a State or local law that banned operating a drone on the land within the Villages (the guy operating the controls), then it would be pretty much the same as banning someone from using a drone since operating with a line of sight to the drone is an FAA regulation.
