Hawkes Bay
 

We played this course last September and at that time I gave it a B rating, an improvement to the previous time before that .

Well ? We are back to a C rating . I was hopeful that the maintenance crews would have continued to improve the course conditions.

The best part of the course was probably the tee boxes. Not all were in great shape but many were.

The greens were horrendous to the point where you literally could not keep a put from being deflected . They were peppered with large weed patches along with considerable amounts of diseased areas.

C rating is bordering on being generous….

The greens are old and diseased. They need to be fully renovated. I'm sure they are on the agenda. The Villages can only renovate so many courses per year. The AAC are in charge of golf courses north of 466. Ask the AAC or one of your supervisors when Hawkes Bay will be renovated. Your district and AAC meet once a month.

The improvement on most executive courses has been terrible. A lot of hot air blown again.
