need euros
I will visit Italy soon and would like to have about 100 euros (+ or -) for tips, etc when I arrive.
If you have euros left over from a trip and want to sell them please PM me. We can both save some money compared to paying the administrative fee (usually about $20) to buy/sell at a bank. I know I can buy at an ATM when I arrive and don't need advice on how to do this. Thanks. |
Chase Bank gave me the current rate of exchange with no fee a few weeks ago. We do have several accounts with them, so that may be a perk we receive.

On almost any US bank card you'll pay between $3-$5 maximum per 100 euros by using an ATM in Europe, so I'm not sure if it's worth the extra time and effort.

My nephew is arriving from Germany tomorrow. I can see if he has any in his pocket. But younger folks aren't big on carrying cash, so perhaps not.

Euros
I've got about 74 euros that I don't need. You can reach me at (352) 446-2289.

I always bring my ATM card AMD use it in recognizable country banks, not those on tourist center, stores etc. I get a better exchange rate from my bank and a minimum exchange charge at the ATM. Also, when you are going to make a payment using your credit card, always ask to be charged with the country denomination not dollars since they are additional charges hidden in that exchange transaction.

Delivery Guy
I usually bring a bunch of US small denominational bills. They are very much accepted throughout the world for gratuity's and pay for everything else with a credit card that has no transaction fees

AAA does it for members and non members - Cheaper for members.

Euros
We just spent a week in Rotterdam and spent 2 euros for the entire time.
If you have a credit card that you can tap then almost everything is available including transportation. We spent the $20 fee for 250 euros and used just 2. Th rest we will save for next year or to give to our son. |

Thank you to those that responded. I just got home from a nice gentleman (near me) that in his words "I've had these for quite some time. I don't think I'm going back to Europe...." Worked out well for both of us.
