Mattress disposal
How can I dispose of a mattress?
Throw it out at yoir curb during garbage pickup times. They might take it. If not, call for bulk pickup
If you are replacing it, almost all mattress stores will haul away the old one free.
A mattress is too large for normal trash, call for bulk pickup. You can find the number and information on what requires bulk pickup by starting at district gov.org
I often take em at my minimum rate, but yeah like the others said your best option is to bring it out to the curb and call in a bulk pickup.
CSU has a typical charge of $10 for bulk pickup, and they will notify you of the specific day and time to have the item placed at the curb.

Not always. I called for a bulk pickup of my king-size mattress. It was schedulded for the same day as regular trash. The regular trash truck took it way. |

I called Sumter Sanitation at 352-748-0109 and scheduled a bulk item pickup. It was about two weeks before they had date available to pick up. $10 charge to my bill. Well worth the money to have them come to house.
