Where is best place to purchase replacement golf cart seats?

We have a Yamaha Quietech that we would like to replace the seats with the El Tigre seats. Has anyone done that before and used someone other than The Villages Golf Carts?

I ordered El Tigre seats online for our 2014 Yamaha G29 and love them (back in 2015). They sent me color samples so I could match them to the cart and once I ordered them they were custom made and came Fed X to our door a couple weeks later. They were very easy to install and anyone with even basic skills should be able to install them.

I ordered Backspin aftermarket seats for our 2022 Quiet Tech online the same way (they come with built in seat belts) and regret not getting El Tigre again. The Backspin seats are very nice, but they just don’t fit my ergonomics as comfortably as the El Tigres.

One word of caution with aftermarket seats. The sunbrella rain enclosures on many carts are custom made to fit very snuggly to the carts configuration. If the aftermarket seats have a larger footprint, that extends wider than the seats being replaced, it can make it very difficult to zip up the enclosure without tearing the fabric at the seams. Best of luck.

Carts and Clubs in Ocala has 30 or 40 El Tigre seats on site that you can choose from. The cost is pretty much full retail. At least that was the case when I bought mine there a few years ago.

Isn’t the el Tigra company off cr44 across from brownwood? If so I would go to source?

You going to spend around $2K for those seats. I think you need to ask yourself what is it you need from that type of seat? The adjustability adds $450 to that seat vs the non adjustable one (looking at The Villages Price Sheet). Try Covers and Canvas on 156th Place in Summerfield, 352-566-8863. He just did a standard seat for me and they make them in house including the El Tigera version. Allow a couple weeks lead time for any place you order from which is standard.

Agree on the Backspin seats. Do not know name of our model but they are slick and have very little bolstering. Riders complain that they can slide out of the passenger seat

El Tigre Golf Seats, 5975 Signature Dr, Wildwood, FL 34785, US - MapQuest

Yep, cross CR44 from Brownwood.

I thought my seat was El Trigre so I called them few months ago to see if would recover my seats? They would have except my seats wasn’t el trigre’s. Mine was ultimate seats in my 2012 1/2.

Not sure if that’s really a retail outlet. It’s part of The Villages Golf Car production facility.

Any idea of the cost to recover two seats?

Village Cartworks are the best. They do pretty much all kinds of seat types, enclosures, etc. They do work with lots of carts resellers in the area, as well as direct to consumer.

I highly recommend giving them a call (352)-203-5889.

Good luck

There is a seat shop off of 44 behind the Vizavee shop

Deckboat234 05-17-2025 06:07 AM

I bought direct from their factory in Indiana back in 2021. They shipped them to me. Contact them and see if they still do that. They may have stopped since they opened a shop for the villages. The price was not much cheaper, but I saved by installing them myself. Also, there are other luxury seat companies out there. Backspin seating is one of them
