Outdoor Hanging Pendant?
Greetings.....new to Waters Edge/Eastport area......
Looking to replace the can light in the covered entry area provided by the builder with a hanging pendant type. I know the area is rated as having "extremely high winds", and so was wondering if anyone has had any bad luck with those lights/bulbs with a hanging fixture going out consistently from the "swinging", etc? I am wondering if a flush mount makes more sense.... Thank you |
Our hanging chain type light at the entry came with the house. It has survived so far. You will be fine and I am sure if you ride around your neighborhood your other neighbors have them to?

I also wanted to replace my builder installed with a pendant type fixture. However, everyone I saw had an open bottom and that would be a perfect home for bugs, especially hornets. I bought a flush mount for that reason.

You should get ARC approval before spending the money as it might not be allowed in your district (CDD), or your type of home. Better to be safe than sorry.
