Transportation from Port Carnival to The Villages
 
Hi I will be doing a Trans Atlantic in Nov. from London to Port Carnival. Does any know if there's a direct shuttle service from the port back to The Villages? I know there's shuttles from the port to the airport and shuttles from the airport back to the villages Also any recommendation which companies are reliable

Try Yankee Trails. We took it to Ft. Lauderdale terminal and it was very easy and reasonable. Don't know if they travel to your port.

CruiseExpress (formerly Yankee Trails) does that route, but they are quite expensive for one-way travel. Good price for a return, but that doesn't help you. They drop you at Bealls on 441 so you'd need to get a ride home from there (and taxis are few and far between).

Friends of ours usually do a one-way car rental for Port Canaveral.

Yes, I agree with the car rental suggestion. I rented a car from Budget Rental Cars in Leesburg right on Hwy 441 (it is in the direction towards ICHIBAN ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET RESTAURANT).

CruiseExpress does not cut you a break from their round-trip price if you need them only for one-way.

I recently went on a Trans-Atlantic cruise from Miami to Southhampton, England, and the car rental (Kia Forte) cost me less than $70 (plus gas, another $30 if I remember correctly). No tolls, as I chose the "NO TOLLS" option on my GPS (I wasn't in any hurry to get to the port plus the time difference was insignificant).

I imagine one can easily do the same with Port Canaveral (if anybody has, please chime in and tell me what it cost, as I am curious).

My wife and I rent a car and drive ourselves, Cost about $80. including tolls. Pretty cheap. Turn it in in Leesburg.

Call Bergit at. 352 638 0449. She takes people to Port Canaveral and she is reasonable.
