"Team of Rivals" The political Genius of Abraham Lincoln

A great book for anyone with an interest in history, political or otherwise, civil war. A well deserved Pulitzer Prize for Doris Kearns Goodwin .

I have the 2006 paperback edition and it's not for reading slouches, much detail, many names and 754 pages in the paperback copy not including the Introduction.

I agree with you, it's a great book and I particularly find that period of history, the Civil War, intriguing.

I used to listen to her whenever she was a guest on Imus in the morning radio talking about her books.

On my second reading before I pass it on the next reader, perhaps I have embarrassed myself with a second reading , admitting not digesting the book first time around
