Costco grand opening date now set

The Costco web site is now showing the date of AUGUST 6TH 2025 for their grand opening at 8:00am. Who will be the first to enter the door?

Membership needed and it is by the Villages' Hobby Lobby. Golf cart accessible.

It will probably mess up the traffic a great deal on CR466.

It is located on Wedgewood Lane, just east of Hobby Lobby, which appears to be golf cart accessible.

Yes, you need a membership with a few exceptions. Without a membership, you can buy online with a 5 percent surcharge, you can buy in the store using a gift card, and you can use the pharmacy.

It is golf cart accessible as long as the tunnels under CR466 and CR101 are clear. The one under CR466 has very good drainage not sure of the one under CR101.

We cart to Fresh Market weekly after golf. One of Fresh Market exit/entrance not many feet from Costco fuel station entrance. All of the retail and restaurants will see an uptick in business, because not just Village residents will shop the area. With exception for Fresh Market.
FM wine, meat, chicken, flowers, baked goods are all priced higher than Costco. Costco chicken breast price per lb is cheaper than FM Tuesday specials.

As a 20+ year Costco member, will actually shop less in the store, because same day delivery is free for us.

You won't see me there until they get with the times and offer scan and go like Sam's.

Love scan and go BUT also have favorites at Costco that aren't available at Sam's so our driver is product not technology. Whe keep membership at both.

Free Same day delivery is the only priority I have. I really don’t need to personally pick up every item to fill grocery list.

Our kids just informed me that their Walmart+ now allows free Sam’s club delivery. I don’t physically shop Walmart retail, just have it delivered to the front door. Our Amazon is delivered inside our garage or our car. It’s great especially for high ticket items

Our oldest has their Walmart not only delivered, but groceries are put away. Their same driver has come to their house weekly for a year. She also gives both dogs a treat and a pet on the head, along with “who’s a good dog”.

Hope the driver washes her hands before delivering to her next customer.

It looks like they have a good book section. Just what I need, more books!
