How long does it take to start building at The Villages?

We put a deposit on a site in Buttonwood. When we notify them that we are ready to start building, approx. how long will it be until they start our home? Thanks!

We executed papers to build February 3 and were given a closing date of 4/15.
Signed Thursday evening and lot had been graded by Friday at noon.

Not long

Signed May 8. House was finished June 28th. If we had wanted to pay 250.00 we could have closed on July 5th. We waited until July 23 rd.

Best answer will come from checking with your sales person. They should be able to give you the definitive answer.

I think as soon as they get your 20%

dpingram 02-09-2011 07:57 PM

Soon

As soon as you give them the 20% and say go... We bought last April and when we were down in Jan. we finalized the paperwork. Before we left the office we knew exactly what date we would close.... Signed Jan. 5th will close on Mar. 18th. To bad for us we have to do so by mail. Our jobs will keep us in Virginia until June.

We wire transferred our 20% deposit on our Gardenia in Buttonwood on Sept. 16 and closed on December 3, 78 days later. The house was certainly ready a couple of weeks before that.

BTW, where in Buttonwood will you be building?
