Some Federal Energy Tax Credits On the Way Out?
 

Just saw today the 25C Federal energy tax credit which covers installation of high efficiency heating and air conditioning systems will not be available after 2025 in the new spending bill. This means the $2,000 tax credit for variable speed inverter heat pump systems for example, will not be continued. So, if you are thinking about replacing your system, now is the time to make the decision. No matter what the price, if your purchase is covered in 25C whatever you buy after this year will be a lot more expensive without these tax credits.
