Shaquille O'neal wants to Move to The Villages
 

I'm not sure that most people would want to brag about S O'neal stating he wants to move to The Villages. Perhaps he was misquoted.

O'Neal then lifted the lid on where he hopes he will spend his days after ringing in age 65.

“The dream scenario is: There’s this place called The Villages. The Villages is an old folks’ home, but they have the highest rate of STDs. I want to be there."

And the sole purpose of this post is to …???

He wants to come and spend time at the Squares to see Scooter and learn to dance.

Probably to continue the myth of high STD rates in TV. Here are the facts from CDC and Florida Dept. of Health:

National STD rate (per 100,000): ~760
Florida STD rate ~620
Sumter County rate ~420 This includes areas like Wildwood, Bushnell, Oxford, and Sumterville which has a younger population

STD rate for ages 55+ in Florida ~62, so probably less than 1/12 of the national average in TV. Hopefully we can put this STD fallacy behind us. I hope Shaq reads this.

If not will show him this the next time he comes for dinner. He is happy to change the lightbulbs on our 10 and 12 foot ceilings.
