CATL Naxtra Sodium-Ion Battery

May be in production early next year from CATL...Ideal for golf carts.
Can store them at 0% SOC without injury - No Hazmat shipping.
Much safer - limited thermal runaway.
175Wh/kg - About $20 per Kwh at scale.
It can also replace ICE car batteries with cold performance to -40F

A 15kw golf cart battery would be an all day battery of about 120 miles. That would be a cell price of around $300 plus another $500 for support pieces. $800 all-in with a cycle life of >10,000. Battery calendar life is unknown but perhaps 20 years. It will be around a 220 lb. battery...still far less than lead-acid and twice the capacity.
