If you are interested in a Lightning Protection System, most of the companies working here in the Villages are booked up till next year, just FYI, but remember for total protection from Lightning you need Both Lightning Protection AND Surge Protection.

When conditions are "right", and lightning is going to strike your home, it will regardless of what protection systems you have or not, but if you have a lightning protection system, lightning will strike the rods sending the charge safely to earth ground vs potentially blowing a hole in your roof and catching your home on fire. That's the difference.

Right, but there are still so many Villagers with questions that we need to have it again for us here in the Villages.

Yep, starting to feel like the yards signs at the street intersections that I ignore to. Lightning impacted my home a week ago not a direct hit that I can find but it entered the house and tore up some small stuff. LP would not have helped in this case….the Duke meter surge protection might (ordered).

Maybe OP thinks everyone need to be reminded weekly, because it didn’t rain or storm yesterday. Short term memory loss doesn’t effect everyone.

I remember warning of the actual lightning week. The weekly post on advice of two companies for installing, and one electric company, with the weekly reminder it’s Summer in Florida and lightning happens. Sometimes pictures and quotes from 2014.

I know I can ignore, but one day hope for new Innovation And the new companies that can go with it

Using that mentality, its time to remind all villagers that one should buckle their seatbelt, smoking isn't healthy, exercise is important, review and update your wills and trusts, and eat your fruits and veggies.
