Harbor Hills course conditions - Really good shape!

If you haven't played Harbor Hills lately it's worth a trip back. The course has upgraded its mowing equipment and the conditions of the greens, fairways and rough are great.

I'm a member who lives in the Villages so I kind of hate to tout the improvements if it results in a reduction in available tee times!

In addition if you use one of the coupons in the newspaper its a real bargain.

Give it a try.

Makes sense. They have just one course to maintain.

Going from last year's condition to "great"............they have come a long ways.

As a member for over 4 years I know what you mean! Played yesterday and its in the best condition I've seen. Playing tomorrow. Nothing is ever perfect but there has been a very noticeable change.

Managing the conditions of a golf course is a lot like farming or owning a boat. There's always something wrong or needed to be fixed!

Did they replace their grainy Bermuda greens? So much grain.

Same designer (Clifton, etc) as the one that designs most of TheVillages championship courses. But Harbor Hills is much more interesting and pleasant to play. Quiet, and without rows of packed in housing lining treeless airport runway fairways. Built more like a golf course than a real estate development. Wish there were more courses like Harbor Hills close by.

Number of courses shouldn’t matter. They also have only one course to generate revenue towards the maintenance budget. Theoretically, with multiple courses there should be economies of scale, resulting in better maintenance per dollar spent.

Perhaps the people that take care of the executive courses can call up the people at Harbor Hills and get some tips!
