My husband and I have just passed our 7-week anniversary here in The Villages after a crazy three month journey of a leave-it-all-behind exit from our former beloved home.

Listen to the song “The Way” and ignore the true story behind it and that’s pretty much how we feel about moving here. “An exit to eternal summer slacking..”

So yeah, this is our intro to this forum and we’ll find our way to other threads for help with lawn care, my hair begging for attention, etc. 😂

We’ve already met a slew of wonderful people here. Looking forward to meeting the rest of all y’all.

Where was your "beloved former home" located?

Salon Jaylee is a beautiful salon. They have 3 locations in TV so take a look. I am client in the Southern Trace shopping center. Welcome to TV!

It was very hard to go back to ready our house there for sale after closing here. But we managed to make it back in three weeks!

If you came to TOTV to wax positive about The Villages, you're in the wrong place.

I'm kidding, but I'm not. I joined this site as soon as I arrived almost two years ago and, if I took it seriously, would quickly believe I've made a huge mistake.

But I live life here and know better. Like you, I'm happy with my choice.
