Does Anyone know of any locally owned funeral homes in or near the villages? The ones I have located or talked with so far are owned by large nationwide corporations that are not offering the experience I am looking to have.

Look for the funeral home with the lowest price for cremation. That’s usually the private one that has their own crematorium. The other homes (usually national corp) rarely have crematoriums & use that local one for cremation & therefore, their price is higher (and they have to charge the corporate rate). If privately owned, they can, and do often, give breaks on price for those in financial strain. Corporate owned very rarely give discounts.
