A Learning Moment
 

A dad shark and a son shark come up on a shipwreck. All the passengers from the ship are in the water swimming around, and to the sharks it is like a buffet.


"Now son," said the dad shark, "I'm going to tell you how to go about this. First we swim around the humans in a slow circle, with just the tip of our fin out of the water. We go around for about 10 minutes, around and around. Then, we stick the whole fin out of the water, swim around and around for a few minutes, then WE EAT!"


So the sharks do the fin-and-swim routine, and proceed to eat all the passengers.


When finished, when all the passengers are gone, the son shark has a question for his dad.


"Why do we go through all the fin and swimming stuff. Why don't we just go after the humans and eat them? It seems like a lot of work for the same outcome."


"Well, son, we could do that, but I gotta tell you, they taste a LOT better with all the poop out of them."
