From the way it sounded from the news coverage, the approach path would have been roughly 70 miles south of TV. Besides it was pretty overcast (like the day of the launch) and I doubt most of us would have been able to see it even if it did fly over TV. I did hear what might of been the sonic boom, but I doubt that's what it was; probably just Boomer out and about!

I went outside onto the fairway and listened for it, but nary a peep unlike the last two returns that were quit loud.

Yeah, I jumped the gun on fly over location.... I was tracking it online and it looked like it would come over TV, it was south of here. Watched it all the way to the runway on nasa.gov.

Amazing video and they actually stream a live shot out the shuttle cockpit windshield....lining up to the runway at KSC.

Sorry to see the last of the shuttle flights..an amazing era of manned space travel over.

I'm not sure you actually mean't the very last flight or the last of the first of three remaining shuttles. The following is quoted from the NASA website:

"Reflection mixed with celebration today at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida after space shuttle Discovery completed the last of its 39 missions into orbit with a flawless return to Earth and landing at Kennedy. Before people could get too nostalgic, though, Space Shuttle Program officials quickly noted that the agency is working toward two more shuttle missions with Endeavour and Atlantis."

Yes, this was the last mission for Discovery. There are 2 remaining missions for the last 2 shuttles in the fleet.... I believe all will be completed by summer, but not sure of the exact dates.

Looks like Endeavour's scheduled for launch on April 19th and Atlantis on June 28th:

According to NASA.GOV, the launch target has moved from 4/19/11 to 4/29/11 at 3:47pm EDT. Launch window is a mere 10 minutes...
