The electronic life

I just spent a few moments calculating how much I spend each month for the electronics in my life. Turned out to be $260 per month. I have unlimited phone and my internet from the local phone provider. I have Directv for my television, medium plan with HBO and Showtime added. I have two HD receivers and don't have a DVR. I also have a basic cell phone plan(no web connection and no texting) and a 2 movies a month plan from netflix.

If I am spending that much to stay in touch and informed now, how much more would it be if I had an IPad and IPhone and all the other newer technologies. I'm going broke just thinking about it. :22yikes:

How can anyone making an average salary afford all of this stuff????
