Challah Bread

Does anyone know where you can buy Challah in TV? I have tried Publix, Fresh Market and Sweet Bay with no luck. Thanks.

Try Too Jay's. They serve it in the restaurants - maybe they sell it by the loaf for take-home as well.

And...speaking of TooJays, Sweetie picked up Cabbage beef soup tonight. He was near the Spanish Springs Toojays. A quart of the dee-lish-a-mus soup and three pieces of rye bread. Cost $7.00.( They didn't give us rye bread last week at the Sumter Landing TooJays.)

I think I could make this a weekly occurance. We had vegetable beef last week.

I think next week it will be chicken noodle.

YUM. I love something perfect that is not expensive at the same time!

Publix always has it. Ask for Egg Bread since they don't have a clue what "challah" is.

tierra del sol

the tierra del sol country club on san marino serves delicious challah bread with dinners and they might sell it separately, also, as they sell many good baked goods including luscious birthday cakes if one orders in advance...i am getting hungry!

Ya need a nice cold EggCream to wash it down, with some Pastrami, and Pickles...:024:

Interesting, I found it at Sweetbay's but it has been several weeks since I last bought it.

Hi 2newyorkers,
Perhaps they had run out, but Publix does carry Challah. You might want to ask at the bakery if/ when they put it out (on Fridays, perhaps?), or maybe try a different Publix.

Thank you everyone. On my third trip to Publix they had the challah. Now I have no excuse for not making french toast.
