Reserved Seating ???

Hmmmmm.... Looks like reserved seating already started at the squares for the afternoon parade...

Is this TV culture to reserve seating far in advance of any event?

I saw the parade, just the wrong one

I saw a parade yesterday, but I do not think it was the right one :).

I decided to not go to a town square last evening (maybe 4:30ish) and instead went over to the range at Palmer. I was blown away to see the golf carts on Buena Vista headed south toward town square (most of them at least). The line of carts was stacked up from the stop sign at Old Mill Road to the pond by Riley Grove. Bumper to bumper for that whole stretch (about 3/4 mile), I do not think I have ever seen anything like it.

Turning left on Old Mill Road is difficult at times anyway. I cannot imagine how long it took to clear the queue of carts. Was anyone in that line?

We have attended 2 events recently where our group of friends reserved tables quite early! One couple arrived at 6AM to reserve our spots. They stayed 2 hours then the next couple arrived to watch our tables and so forth..until the event started. If you want a table...that's what you have to do. So.. you are correct about first come, first served.

I think the whole group should be in their seats, not just a couple hanging out to keep seats from being taken.
For Fat Tuesday our group arrived at about 3:00 P.M., plenty early I would think. All the seats were taken, many with rope tied to the chairs and nobody around.
We just helped ourselves to these roped off chairs.
If you want to be sure of a seat at these events you should have your butts there. Roping of seats or having one person saving seats for a group should not be tolerated.

For Mardi Gras they had folks reserving tables as they were being set up. Then they would have 1 person sitting at each table for 1 hour shifts. Watched it develop during our lunch at Urban Flats. Seems to be a TV standard......
