Friday Night dining without a wait

There are 6 of us going out to dinner Friday night. Is there a good restaurant we can get into without a lengthy wait?

ajbrown 03-24-2011 10:19 AM

I cannot help myself

Depending on how many people read TOTV, maybe Tierra :throwtomatoes:

IMO, it is tough to do if you with to eat at "prime time", but always interested in what others will know.

Bonefish will take reservations.

Ditto

Another vote for Bonefish. Also VG food.

You can do "call-ahead seating" at Carrabbas.

Try to get everyone off of the course and go a bit early - more choices....

Thai Ruby on Canal st

Go early (before 5pm) and you will have many, many choices. If you don't want to eat that early, then get a table, and have a few drinks first.

There's always fine dining at the Golden Corral with hardly ever a long wait:D

What do most people consider a long wait?

jblum315 03-24-2011 06:28 PM

An hour

GatorFan 03-24-2011 06:28 PM

You can call ahead and get your name on list at Outback and Red Lobster. May be some more that allow you to call and put your name on list.

Bonefish is great - but be careful of their on-line reservation system as we used it and arrived to find we had no reservation - they did, however, seat us very quickly

The Japanese restaurant in Lake Sumter Landing serves good food (we especially like the hibachi tables) and is rarely crowded - we waited two minutes at 7 pm on St Patrick's Day

Anotherr vote for Bonefish. Made reservations there one time and it was the best time we ever had, especially since we had 7 people. Walked in, waited 3 minutes and brushed by all the people waiting. Had drinks at the table, and all was smooth and wonderful!

Wait till the snowbirds go home and u will have no trouble getting seated.
