Power outages

When there is a power outage that last for an extended period of time, are residences allowed to use generators to power their houses?

I have a gasoline generator that I can hook up to power my entire house except the AC but I was not sure if the noise would not be allowed in TV.

Are we allowed to run them in TV?

I would think that if the power was off long enough, you would have lots of company. Is the coffee pot on? :beer3:

I've seem some premier homes near Palmer that have permanently mounted whole-house generators installed. GSo I guess it must be o.k.! :)

If one of your neighbors complains about the noise, let them plug in with their extension cord........

Whole house generator

We live in a designer in Sable Chase. We have a whole house generator. It was installed a few years ago. We went through proper channels, so yes, they are allowed. So far, we haven't had to use it, but I guess that's the nature of 'insurance' policies.

My neighbor across the street has a generator. We all used his refrigerator in 2004 when we had 4 hurricanes in 6 weeks.
